Circular with slightly flaring rim and pierced
keyhole handle, engraved on handle with monogram
WMB, the front engraved James Breck From His
Grandfather, marked under base and back handle
with Buhler mark b. The monogram is that of
William and Margaret Breck.

This porringer in one of a pair ordered by William
Breck and described in Paul Revere’s Daybook for
April, 1781, v. I, p. 61. The monogram is that of
William and Margaret Breck.
